With a background as a planner at one of New York City’s top wedding design firms, Gabby approached her own celebration with an impeccable eye for detail and intention. Together, Gabby and Ivan planned a deeply personal destination wedding in San Miguel de Allende, crafting a multi-day experience that honored both of their heritages while embracing the vibrant spirit of Mexico.

Set within the lush gardens of Casa Hyder, their intimate celebration blended Persian and Mexican traditions in a way that felt seamless, joyful, and incredibly meaningful. Towering greenery, colorful blooms, and historic architecture created a naturally romantic atmosphere, with breathtaking photo opportunities unfolding at every turn. From sun-washed courtyards to ivy-covered walls and quiet garden pathways, the venue offered a rich, textural backdrop that elevated every moment.

One of the most unforgettable highlights of the day was the callejoneada, a spirited dancing procession that carried the couple and their guests through the celebration. Accompanied by a lively mariachi band, the procession included floral-adorned donkeys and whimsical mojigangas, giant papier-mâché puppets designed to represent the bride and groom. The energy was electric, filled with laughter, music, and movement, creating imagery that feels as vibrant and celebratory as the moment itself.

Throughout the gallery, candid moments of connection are layered with bold color, expressive architecture, and the warmth of golden light. From emotional vows shared beneath the garden canopy to joyful portraits filled with motion and texture, every image reflects the thoughtful planning and heartfelt emotion behind Gabby and Ivan’s day.

For couples dreaming of a San Miguel de Allende destination wedding, Casa Hyder is an exceptional venue choice. Its intimate scale, historic charm, and lush surroundings make it ideal for celebrations that prioritize experience, culture, and beautifully layered photography. This wedding is a stunning example of how intentional design and meaningful traditions can come together to create a celebration that feels both elevated and deeply personal.

"As a previous wedding planner and then a bride myself, I worked with Vicki professionally and chose to work with her personally. Not only is she so incredibly talented but she is so responsive during the planning process and comes SO prepared on the day of. She brought her own styling props that worked so well with the overall wedding design! We enjoy our wedding photos every time we see them because her style is timeless and captures all the important details. We are so thankful we chose Vicki for our wedding! " - Gabby

Over the past fifteen years, I've learned that the photos couples treasure most aren't created through constant posing. They're created when people feel comfortable enough to forget the camera is there and fully experience one of the most meaningful days of their lives.

That belief guides every decision I make, from how I photograph your day to how I interact with you, your family, and the people who matter most.

Working with a blend of medium format film and digital photography, I create luminous, true to life images that feel natural, timeless, and emotionally honest. My approach combines gentle guidance with documentary awareness, allowing space for genuine moments to unfold while creating portraits that feel effortless rather than overly directed.

Before becoming a photographer, I worked in destination event planning, where I developed an intuitive understanding of timing, hospitality, and the flow of a celebration. That experience allows me to collaborate seamlessly with planners while helping couples remain fully present with the people and moments that matter most.

I planned my own wedding in Bali in 2008 and returned in 2023 to renew our vows, experiences that shaped my appreciation for destination celebrations and intentional gatherings. Outside of weddings, I'm a mother to twin boys and a proud supporter of animal rescue organizations throughout Virginia.
