pRE-wEDDING  Photographer

Linda and Robert’s Iceland pre-wedding photography session was nothing short of breathtaking; an immersive adventure through some of the most dramatic and awe-inspiring landscapes in the world. Designed as both a celebration and an experience, their session blended epic scenery with quiet, intimate moments, creating imagery that feels timeless, cinematic, and deeply personal.

Their journey began at the iconic Blue Lagoon, one of Iceland’s most recognizable natural wonders. Surrounded by lava fields and milky-blue geothermal waters, the photos here capture a sense of calm and anticipation; a peaceful pause before heading deeper into Iceland’s wild terrain. Soft steam, mineral water, and moody light created an ethereal atmosphere that set the tone for their entire pre-wedding adventure.

Pre-wedidng Session Photos

"It has been a pleasure working with Vicki as a client. We first met when she photographed my sister’s wedding. From then on, we kept in contact. We’ve had Iceland on our travel bucket list for a while so we made a vacation out of it and thought why not do engagement photos while we’re there. My husband and I love hiking together and Vicki was able to bring this hobby of ours to life. For our special day, she captured such wonderful timeless and beautiful imagery in the countryside of Virginia that we will treasure forever. " - Linda

From there, Linda and Robert explored Iceland’s rugged canyons and cascading waterfalls, where towering cliffs and moss-covered rock formations framed every moment. These locations allowed for movement-driven, storytelling imagery; walking hand-in-hand along canyon edges, laughing beneath waterfalls, and embracing the scale of the landscape that made each photograph feel expansive and alive.

One of the most unforgettable experiences was hiking into Reykjadalur Valley, home to Iceland’s famous natural hot springs. After trekking through steaming hillsides and geothermal terrain, the couple slipped into the warm river that winds through the valley. Wrapped in mist and surrounded by untouched nature, the photos here reflect a uniquely Icelandic experience; intimate, adventurous, and effortlessly romantic.

Tucked away in a secluded mountain valley, Linda and Robert also visited one of Iceland’s oldest natural pools, a hidden gem that felt completely removed from the world. The still water, dramatic mountain backdrop, and quiet atmosphere created space for deeply connected portraits; moments that feel raw, honest, and beautifully unposed.

As their adventure slowed, they made their way to the black sand beach near Vík, where the landscape shifts dramatically once again. Against the stark shoreline and crashing waves, the couple strolled along the coast as the sky transformed into soft shades of lavender, mauve, and deep purple. The contrast between the dark volcanic sand and the glowing sunset created some of the most striking images of their session; a poetic ending to an unforgettable journey.

This Iceland engagement and pre-wedding session was about more than photographs; it was about presence, connection, and embracing the beauty of slowing down in extraordinary places. From geothermal waters and hidden pools to black sand beaches and epic canyon views, Linda and Robert’s adventure captures what makes destination pre-wedding photography in Iceland so powerful; emotion, exploration, and landscapes that tell a story all their own.

After photographing love stories across the U.S. and destinations around the world, experiences like this in Iceland always stand apart. For couples drawn to dramatic landscapes, quiet intimacy, and imagery that feels both elevated and deeply personal, I’d love to help you envision a destination that brings your story to life.
