Despite spring’s wild mood swings — including an unexpected, spirited downpour during cocktail hour — Kathleen and Rob’s Glenstone Garden wedding was nothing short of perfect. From the moment guests arrived, the day felt like a dream: stunning design, flawless planning, and the dreamiest setting imaginable in the heart of Virginia’s countryside. I’m so grateful I had the honor of capturing every joyful, love-filled moment for this truly sweet couple!

Nestled in the rolling hills just west of Washington, D.C., Glenstone Gardens is a luxury private estate in Middleburg known for its breathtaking formal gardens, secret tucked-away garden nooks, and beautifully restored historic structures; making it a quintessential backdrop for timeless weddings. Here, centuries-old gardens and lush English-inspired landscapes set the stage for celebrations that feel both elegant and serene.

From the first look to the final dance, every chapter of Kathleen and Rob’s wedding played out beautifully against this refined and intimate background. The lush garden pathways and manicured hedges made for a delicate yet vibrant portrait setting, while expansive lawns and blooming floral borders added dreamy frames to every glance and embrace. Even the weather couldn’t dampen the spirit The rain lent a magical softness to the light and a dramatic, romantic energy to the images. 

The ceremony unfolded amidst bountiful greenery and graceful garden vistas, with natural light filtering through tall trees and rich foliage. The reception tent on the lawn felt like a private garden soirée; warm, sophisticated, and alive with cherished smiles, heartfelt toasts, and joyful celebration. From candid laughter at cocktail hour to the couple’s first dance under soft evening light, every moment was a pleasure to witness and preserve through my lens.
